I'm working on illustrating a few of my favorite scenes from my favorite books by my favorite author, Christopher Moore, and this is my first attempt at getting one of his characters down on paper. This is Theophilus Crowe, the stoner cop from The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove and The Stupidest Angel. I took some artistic liberties while getting Theo down on paper. He's supposed to have cut his ponytail before the events of The Stupidest Angel but I can't for the life of me bring myself to draw him without one. Also, Theo is supposed to be in his forties, but I'm terrible at aging people. I blame my parents, who persist in looking twenty years younger than they are and throwing off my sense of peoples' ages. Up next is Tucker Case, because I really want to draw him sniffing his shorts. All the text in quotations is copyright Christopher Moore. |
