I wish I had a mentor. Actually, I do have a mentor.  There's a reason my aunt Liz's nickname is Aunt Obi-Wan, and she is my master in all things textile-related, but even she underestimates me sometimes - like when I set out to make Exalted costumes for myself and my two roommates and surprised her by succeeding all on my own.  That's okay, considering that I barely spend enough time with her to get the full benefit of her mentoring.  Bad Kate.  Bad, bad Kate, but that's what happens when you decide to go to school an hour away from home.
